High-velocity filtered air showers that remove surface contamination from personnel and equipment before cleanroom entry — protecting your ISO classification, your product, and your process.
An air shower is a self-contained antechamber installed at the entrance to a cleanroom or controlled environment. When personnel or equipment pass through, high-velocity jets of HEPA- or ULPA-filtered air blast from nozzles on the walls and ceiling, dislodging particulate contamination — dust, lint, hair, and skin cells — before it can enter the clean zone.
The removed particles are captured by the filtration system and prevented from re-entering the airstream. Interlocked doors ensure that only one door can open at a time, maintaining the pressure differential between the cleanroom and the surrounding environment throughout the cycle.
Air showers are a standard component of cleanroom gowning protocols in pharmaceutical, semiconductor, biotech, and medical device manufacturing environments — and are increasingly specified in research and university laboratory settings where ISO classification must be maintained.
Every air shower we supply is selected and configured to match your cleanroom classification, throughput requirements, and facility layout.
Strategically positioned nozzles deliver high-velocity filtered air from multiple directions, dislodging and removing particulate contamination from clothing, hair, and equipment surfaces before personnel enter the cleanroom.
Integrated HEPA (99.97% @ 0.3 µm) or ULPA (99.9995% @ 0.12 µm) filters capture removed particles before recirculating or exhausting air — preventing recontamination of the entry zone.
Electromechanical door interlocks prevent both doors from opening simultaneously, maintaining a pressure differential and eliminating the risk of unfiltered air bypassing the shower cycle.
Programmable shower duration (typically 15–30 seconds) ensures adequate decontamination without slowing throughput. Cycle time is configurable to match your cleanroom protocol and ISO classification.
Available in Type 304 stainless steel for pharmaceutical and biotech environments, or powder-coated steel for general cleanroom and industrial applications. Both options are easy to wipe down and maintain.
Standard single-person units and wider double-sided pass-through configurations are available to accommodate varying personnel flow rates and facility layouts.
